This 1952 M38 Willys Jeep arrived at Kip Motor Company as a return-to-service project. After evaluating the Jeep, our team found that it needed more than a simple mechanical checkup. We decided to rebuild the engine and replace the wiring harness to make the Jeep safe and reliable for the road.
Once we completed the wiring, we installed the freshly rebuilt engine and began bringing the supporting components back to life. The team rebuilt and installed the water pump, generator, and distributor, along with a host of hoses and vacuum lines.
What started as a return-to-service project grew into a rewarding mechanical restoration. Our team thoroughly enjoyed working on this M38 and helping prepare it for many more miles on the road.
