This Triumph TR6 has stayed with its second owner since 1976. It was the first car he ever purchased. Wanting to keep the car in the family, he brought it to Kip Motor Company for a mechanical restoration.
After evaluating the car, our team developed a plan to refresh the major systems. The project included a complete engine rebuild, a suspension update, and a drivetrain rebuild. These updates improved reliability and restored the car’s performance.
The owner also chose to install an electronic fuel injection (EFI) system. We do not always recommend this upgrade because it leans more toward modernization than restoration. However, it can improve drivability for owners who plan to enjoy their cars on the road.= The result is a fun, safe classic ready for spirited driving. The owner plans to return in the future for a complete body restoration. Until then, we’re glad to know he’s out driving and enjoying this TR6.
